Sunnypaw was in a paradox. Eat. Or don't eat. That was the question. And it was a very troubling question to say the least. If she ate it, she might get scolded for eating more than her share. Plus, she might get a bellyache. But the prey was old, and would be maggot-infested in a day. And it smelled really good...

The mottled apprentice plopped down, staring hard at the vole in question with her luminous eyes. As if it would tell her what to do. Nah. It couldn't. And if it could, wouldn't. She'd been the one to nip it's neck a quarter moon ago!

"What to do," she hummed, her eyes flitting around. Maybe she could pester one of the other apprentices into sharing it with her. Or lay it at Squirrelpaw's nest. The smaller, younger she-cat was ravenous and ate everything in her path.

Sunnypaw frowned slightly, her little poof of a tail twitching half-heartedly as she crossed her paws. Food was plentiful... It couldn't hurt to have just a bite, right?

((FAIL IS FAIL))

Sootpaw padded towards Sunnypaw, having noted her troubled expression. "You alright there? You look... Puzzled." He glanced at the vole at her paws, and tried not to think of how much he'd like to eat it. If it was up to him, he'd eat every last bit of prey in the clan. He loved food, almost as much as lounging around in the sun. Almost.

Sunnypaw looked up at the other apprentice, noticing how his eyes were drawn to the prey. She grinned. "I was actually thinking about whether or not I can eat this... But you solve my problem for me! Have at it!" she said cheerfully. That was one problem solved...

[Amber]

Crowstar watched, whiskers a'twitch from a low branch. It was not exactly a branch from which he watched his Clan from, rather a part of the wood that had split away from the tree many moons ago by unknown causes. Nevertheless, the spot was oddly conveniant, especially when gathering the Clan together for Clan meetings. Its overhang of prickly vivid green needles made it a cozy spot for observing in secret as well.

A scene was unwinding at the fresh-kill pile. Two apprentices appeared to be contemplating eating from the pile. One of Crowstar's blackened ears twitched as he pondered right along with them. Had they done anything for the Clan yet? Something told him otherwise, causing his shoulder muscles to bunch up and his claws to slide into position for the spring upon the wind dampened earth. Lamp-like eyes took snap shots of where he would soon be landing.

Swish...

Crowstar landed with a silent yet solid thud, the impact springing up through his legs and burning satisfyingly in his shoulders, traveling down his spine and transfering to his tail to be launched to the upset air with a single flick. The ruffled tom brought his head up level with his shoulders, wolf moon eyes staring ahead with amusement.

"Ahem," He meowed with a sense of authority, yet a pleasent purr could be heard beneath.

"Thanks!" Sootpaw was just about to take a bite when he heard a Ahem. He spun round, but lost his balance and fell to the floor. Without lifting his chin from the ground, he looked up to see Crowstar. "Ah.. Hello."
