I'm surprised there are no debates here. *looks around* Nope.

Well anyway, what's your opinion? Mac or PC? Or more correctly, OSX vs Windows, because a Mac is a PC...

MAC!!! Its faster. My mac is already crammed with school s*** and its still working like new, if not better. And when you buy it, you don't have to get one of those large things, the storage things, like PC, you just get the mac, the keyboard and a mouse. Its like a laptop, except, quite a bit larger

There is only 1 or 2 chords and its incredibly easy to set up. Its very easy to get used to, its got Photobooth which is pretty amazing. Never ONCE in the past few month has this thing ever 'force-quitted' anything on its own terms.

And I've had it nearly a year now.

For one, it wouldn't be working better... For two, Macs suck. Everything by Apple sucks. Cause they're Canadian everything is way overpriced and much more fragile than Microsoft's computers. Safari sucks too.

LMAO RAVE Canadians.

I prefer Windows. I just do. And my computer's crammed with a shitload of stuff, too, and it still works like new. And you don't always get 'storage' stuff when you buy PCs -.-

Okay, debate maker person's turn.

I perfer PC's, for many different reasons.

My first reason is the same as Rave's. I hate Apple. They're an overrated pile of crap -.-. Yes, macs may be simple, but that does not mean they are good computers. In fact, it means the exact opposite. They're over simplicity holds you back from doing anything useful, like programming. You can do twice the things on a PC as compared to a Mac. Just because it's not apparent and simple, doesn't mean it's not there.

In other words, if you don't know how to use a computer, use a mac. But otherwise..

Uhm. I'm Canadian and I still think Macs are shit. They're good for display and making you look like a rich person, but if you want something sturdy and reliable, you'll get a PC. If I want a laptop, I'll get a laptop. For something that I store school work, and just my stuff in general in, I want something that I can count on, that won't break if it somehow falls off the table or something. And I can't see my blocky computer thing, that's on the floor, fall over anytime soon.

...

In other words, my retarded stupid younger cousin could barely budge it, let alone actually knock it over.

Yeah, those Mac desktop things are extremely top heavy. Our teacher had one, and if you jump in our class, it would wobble.

Well, Macs actually are really well balanced, if you were to knock the screen, which my brother has done enough times for me to know, nothing will happen except the screen will go forward and back. Bumble, macs are incredibly reliable and sturdy, a hell of a lot more sturdy and reliable, then our old computer ever was, or any of the ones we have at school are. (We have PCs at school.)

Yes, they are exactly that. Old. You're comparing Old PC's to new Mac's. That's not fair at all xD. Macs have gotten better over the years, but they're still too simple, and can acomplish only simple tasks

Wow Fish. Quit talking to me like I'm the only one against Macs. And quit calling me Bumble. -.-

That's the thing. You're like... comparing a sundial to a digital clock. Of course the old ones suck. Have you seen the first iPod that's ever come out? It's fatter and uglier than a lot of landline phones I see nowadays. I wouldn't compare that to a recent version of the iPod.

And Waffletail, I have to disagree with you on that one. They aren't simple at all, and that's probably one of the bigger problems; every time Apple comes up with something new, it's more complex and completely different, making it harder to learn to use.

Fish, your Mac may be good, but you just got off lucky. You have no idea how many times I've seen Macs malfunction. My half-sister's mom had one, and they had to go to the Apple store to get it fixed three times, and even then it still didn't work. I think they're still trying to get it fixed.

At school, we have two PC labs and a Mac lab. Although the Mac lab seems fresher and far more enticing than the PC's, they're not necessarily better.

Oh, and they update their stuff too much. Instead of developing quality updates, they make a new product with trivial updates once a month, forcing you to buy a new one.

I'mma Mac. But I haven't used a PC in a while so. My Macbook Pro works really well, doesn't lag, doesn't have viruses. I've never ever had a problem with it or the other one we own. *shrug* And the desktop one we own has never fallen. Ever. Oh, and you can buy the new versions at Apple and then update it to your computer so. It all works out in the end for me. :3

I've never had a problem with my Mac either, I think its just your half-sisters mum. And we've had a whole lot of new computers introduced to school at the start of this year, and most have been put in the year 7/8 area, and almost overtime I go in, a good handful of them aren't working, two never are.

The new notebooks the school has got aren't much faster either.

@Fish
That's because schools are cheap and won't buy good computers in bulk.
Also, since PC's are much more customizable and you can do tons of things with them. Including wrecking it completely and irreversiably.
