The Dragon of the East Empty The Dragon of the East

Hedero "The Slime of the Waterfall Country" didn't seem all that threatening today. Instead of being prepared for battle he was sitting on the upper floor of a teahouse, waiting to be served his meal. He was awaiting a challenger as well, for some reason he had chosen the teahouse as the perfect place. He didn't truly want to go on a spontaneous journey on an empty stomach, and having it at a tea house just seemed more fun. He couldn't wait. What he knew about his opponent was very little, besides her face. And even that he hadn't taken the time too look over. Removing his glasses and wiping his nose for the thousandth time, he looked down the balcony at the entrance to the teahouse.

Arriving just moments after, Ren ran her fingers through her hair, untangling a small knot she found there with barely any effort. Jeez. It was inconvenient that the person she challenged wanted to have their little battle at a tea house. Lord, he must not mind innocent casualties. She walked through the doors, sighing as her eyes found her opponent. He was just sitting there, relaxing. Great. One of those "Lax-but-totally-strong-and-will-kick-your-arse" types... "Hedero?" she questioned, already knowing the answer as she rested her cheek on her balled fist.

"Yeah..." he moaned quietly, not even looking at the girl. He had seen her when she had come in, and was so far, unimpressed. He'd expected someone a little more... Powerful? So far she looked and seemed run of the mill. He glanced at the lower floor of the tea house ,staring at all the soon to be dead people. With his powers chaos was bound to reign. "Let's get this show on the road shall we?"

"Mm. Yeah. I assume you want the first move?" Ren raised one eyebrow, not at all caring about his dismissive look. After all... Meh. There was no after all. She just plain did not care. Better put up some defense... she thought, sighing again while twisting her fingers in the complicated motions of hand signals. She felt a portion of her chakra flow around her, creating a slick film of sorts that would either absorb or repel most weak jutsu directed at her.

"Yes... But it seems the first move has already been made." The moment the words were out of his mouth, he was out of his seat. Swinging what looked like hulking scroll at Naruto about four feet in size. While swinging a roll of thick paper wouldn't seem like that much of an assault, it was really just a way to form a gap between them. If he connected in his strike, the force of a metal bat would occur, at least causing bruising but at the most fracturing a bone.

It didn't take a moment for Ren to dodge, standing a few feet to the side in a some-what defensive pose. "Slime child eh?" she murmured, eyes narrowed.

((FAIL... *No muse*))

"What a horrible nickname." He murmured defensively. "I much prefer the Lord of the Salamanders." He said ignoring the fact that many of the restaurants patrons were starting stare. "It's all part of the show people." He swung the scroll again, this time it unfurled slightly and a smoke cover formed around Hedero. Not only him but also Ren. It was time for him to begin trying. The smoke wouldn't clear for a while and Hedero took this moment to strike. Flying silently over the tiles pulling back his fist and unleashing a mighty fist into the face of Ren. So far his attacks were rather run of the mill and basic. But all his strikes had an ulterior method.

Once he through the punch whether it was a hit or a miss, tiny blast of water would hit Ren. It was almost as if someone had thrown the contents of a glass of water at her. Dodging it would be difficult as it would be unseen through the huge smoke cloud.

"What the-" Ren felt anger flare as she ducked, Hedero's fist missing her face by mere inches. However, now there was water dripping from her chin. Some freak must have thrown a glass at her... Or... Her eyes shot to the "Slime Child" Hedero. Was it an attack? She pulled a paper bomb from her pocket, slapping it onto the floor just below them. In one move she'd darted away, releasing her chakra to blow the bomb up. Maybe it'd hurt the boy some, send some shrapnel to pierce his skin or something. It'd surely blow the smoke away.

As the smoke cleared, Hedero the 'Slime Child' would be out of sight. If Ren would look to her right she'd see the boy, standing on what was a pink salamander. In truth, it was an Om, but a salamander nonetheless. There was no eyes on the creature, but how it had dodged the explosion in near seconds, it was obviously fast, but Hedero hadn't escaped without injury. Splinters lined his right forearm. "Ren... Feel the strength of the Legendary Pink Flash. The Om." he said with huge almost bulging eyes. His tongue extended from his mouth and licked his lips in anticipation.

Ren's scowl deepened. "You are not helping the name situation there," she said, as if she was trying to be helpful. Instead she rolled her eyes A big pink slug-like frog wouldn't do much... Seriously. Her hands clasped together again, fingers tangling and weaving as she performed the seals memorized long ago. Fire blazed in the shape of a human beside her, the bright oranges and reds fading away to reveal a clone of herself. The attack didn't use up much chakra, and she still had a ton of the life energy reserved.

In a flash, in the same way the Pink Flash had gotten it's name, a long almost elastic tail had begun to wrap around Ren and her clown. Without even blinking Hedero had commanded mentally for his summoning to constrict around Ren. If this attack should work, which it most likely would, seeing as how the salamander was faster than most humans. It would slam Ren against her own fire clone, most likely setting her aflame. The tactic would work much better seeing as the tail would have moved towards Ren while she was making handseals.

"Hm?" She stared blankly at the tail for a moment before, with lightning speed and precision, she performed two handseals. A heartbeat later she put her hand on the clone's shoulder, not caring about the slight burn. Instantly, the identical girl expanded in a burst of boiling steam. The chakra that was layered thinly over her skin would protect her from the attack, but for the salamader and Hedero (And half of the guests) the steam would feel like boiling oil.

The patrons of the bar were already screaming from pains from the explosion, and now the boiling oil. They were already making their way towards the door. But Hedero remained, standing vertical, but his salamander completely horizontal. The salamander's tail whipped back, blocking a stream of boiling oil. It's flash, coated by a thin stream of mucus, wore away slightly, but it didn't feel pain, and so the Salamander lived for another day. Hedero sighed slightly in relief, his Om was already on the move now. While he contemplated the girls powers. The seemed to be a Katon user, but at the same time, a Suiton user, as evident by the steam.

Now it was time to fight back. The Om opened it's mouth, even without any eyes it could home in on Ren. As it's mouth opened, a glob of acid shout out, if it hit, she would melt away into nothingness. If she dodged, the acid blasts would continue, luring her back onto the first floor of the tea house, and under one of the balconies that made up the second floor.

Her eyes widened slightly and she leaped straight up, making another clone from flames. This one looked more stable, however. After a moment, one could not tell which was which. Ren would use this to lure the Salamander-summoner into a trap of her own. The real Ren hit the ground and , forcing out a little excess chakra, her form wavered like flames. Hopefully Hedero would mistake her for the clone and fire a weaker attack at her, while the clone got the brunt of the power. There were two pluses if the plan worked. One was that the other ninja would get burnt from the contact with the clone, two was that she would maybe be able to get on the offensive. She ignored the terrified screams of guests as acid burned away at the floor, instead focusing on looking like a clone.

Hedero looked at the two clones that had now formed. He frowned, that would be a mild setback. He clicked his heels together, and suddenly, the Om glared at the real Ren. It's eyeless face homing in on her even though she had attempted to confuse him. There was one thing she couldn't duplicate with her clone jutsu. Scent. That water he had spilled on the girl, it's pungent scent made her easy to track, and now it would be her downfall. The Om fired up at the ceiling, it's single shot disintegrated one of the support beams that held the Teahouse up, and instantly, the ceiling began to topple down on the girl. Her cheap tricks were nothing compared to Hedero's tactics.

The fall of the ceiling formed a skylight, the lightning face Om shot it's way through the gaping hole, escaping into the moonlight of the rooftop, with the unchanging Hedero standing a top it.

The Dragon of the East Empty Re: The Dragon of the East

"Really? Seriously?!" Ren yelled, angry by now. She looked up at the falling debris and clapped her hands together, a simple hand sign. A huge fountain of water emerged from the floor beneath her, shooting the rocks away with it's power. Steam was practically oozing off her skin, she was so angry. In and instant she was up on the roof, glaring heatedly at Hedero and his giant pink salamander.

Twenty seconds later, in hand seals so fast they were a blur, there was a whip of flames lashing out at Hedero from all sides.

Hedero stared at the girl, waiting for her to complete her handsigns. He didn't want to engage her too soon at her near death experience. But that fountain of water. Incredible. But currently it was raining debris, a fact that Hedero completely dismissed, the Om only occasionally swatted falling wood and timber out of his way. And the fine amount of water falling from the sky was an annoyance, but still useful for his later jutsu. "Ren, you disappoint me." he said with a sigh. As the girl finished her handsigns, Hedero made one. The Ram. As he did this, the Om leaped forward, just an inch away from Ren as the fire tendrils swallowed the Om and 'Hedero'.

While the Om was swallowed in fire it opened it's mouth with a pitiful shriek, and for the first time, it looked like it had true emotion on it's disfigured and burning face. And then it exploded. In a mass of blood and bone. But that wasn't all this explosion was comprised of. Thousands of pink salamanders flew out in waves, falling onto Ren and the area surrounding her. Hedero was nowhere to be seen, the obvious idea was the handsign he had made before his 'death'. Was he truly gone?

"Damn, ew." Ren cursed, swiping at the salamanders with a disgusted look. "Slime child is right..." She looked up, around, and down. She even turned around. "Where the heck did he go?" she growled, glaring at the salamanders.
